Arthur Gordon wrote, in his book, Through Many Windows ..."Each of us looks out on life through windows of our own choosing; and each of us must try to interpret the scenes & images that come into view."

And this characterizes much on how we define ourselves, not so much by our own admission, but by our fishin'.

Some of us fish for blame and sympathy ...

Some of us practice derision and division ...

Some of us for mending and compliments ...

Some of us take up empty nets, settling for compromise ...

Some of us fish for the hard truth ...

Though others, for the soft truth and love ...

Which is often not heard amongst the loud clatter of propositions and protests ...

That plainly excite the hidden unresolved emotions.

But if we let God's Holy Spirit quiet us ...we can see the incredible love He has shown, and the sacrifice of His Son.

With that, perhaps the truth will be able to filter through and we can gratefully stand in humble repentance.

It is called spiritual maturity.

Admission of guilt, admission of sin ...then living free of it, through God's forgiveness and salvation.

It's best we don't try to worm our way out of some things.

But, we shouldn't let others bait us either. Just hang in there ...and give your best effort.

Who knows, maybe we'll even get a break ...and get off the hook!!
